Classroom Expectations:
GRADE SCALE: 90% and above = A : 80% - 89% = B: 70% - 79% = C : 60% - 69 % = D: Below 60% = F
Homework Goals/Expectations:
Homework is a nightly expectation (Monday-Thursday). Understanding and completing homework problems is important. It is also an opportunity for students to practice and review skills learned in class. Parent support and participation is appreciated. It is the students’ responsibility to check for accuracy and to ask for assistance if they do not understand the concepts. Students struggling with homework should come to after school tutoring. Odd numbered textbook homework solutions are listed in the back of the textbook. Students need to be checking their homework solutions and communicate with the teacher if not understanding. Students must attempt all problems, show all work (including multiple-choice questions), and correct their mistakes to receive full credit on any assignment.
Class Notes: Students will submit all of their notes/classwork and homework papers at the end of each chapter test as a NOTES/CW PACKET. It is important to keep all notes. Notes have a FINAL DUE DATE and WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED after this date has passed. Students can correct notes for a better grade up until the final due date.
Tests: Nearly every test is both Multiple Choice and Free Response
Academic Dishonesty: Any student guilty of academic dishonesty will receive a zero for that activity. That zero may not be dropped from the grade book.
Absence: It is the student's responsibility to go to the website, classmate or see the teacher regarding missed work.
Please email, call or write me a note if you have any questions or concerns. I’d be happy to talk to you about your student’s progress in the class.
